Bass, brass, and pure good-time pressure
Good Vibrations Society is about moving together, and Gentleman’s Dub Club are basically the house band for that very thing.
Born in Leeds in 2006 — famously starting out in the basement of 44 Headingley Lane — GDC grew from late-night roots into one of the UK’s most loved live dub outfits: a big, joyful, horn-powered machine built for festival euphoria. (Easy Star Records) They blend heavyweight bass with skanking guitars, sharp brass lines, and singalong hooks, landing somewhere between dub, reggae, ska and modern dance music — with the kind of energy that turns a crowd into a bouncing, grinning mass. This is not background vibes. This is full-body vibes.
At Good Vibrations Society, their set is the perfect bridge between the sunny daytime magic and the after-dark lift-off: the moment when the forest floor becomes a dancefloor, strangers become your mates, and you realise you’ve been smiling for hours straight. Expect big drops, bright horns, and that unmistakable GDC feeling — like the whole place is running on one shared heartbeat.
If you want a ticket for a weekend that actually delivers on “community”… start with the band that can make an entire crowd feel like one.
